Ramblings of a (Sorta) Domestic Goddess
I'm just your average 20-something military wife, keeping the home together while my husband plays soldier all day. It's a tough life, at times, but it's all ours and at the end of the day I wouldn't have it any other way. I think obstacles in life make you a stronger person, in the end; but the middle part can get messy. Wine helps; so does chocolate.
We just got back from two wonderful years in South Korea and my husband is on Recruiting assignment with the Army. We are enjoying being back in the States after two years away, but a part of our heart will always be in Korea.
We unsuccessfully TTC for 17 months. I have PCOS (diagnosed at the age 22...awesome how your seemly fertile body revolts) and it's making it super hard to get pregnant. We took a break when Aaron came to Korea 3 months before me, but were extremely blessed to get pregnant about 2 weeks after I got to Korea. Our beautiful baby boy is a TODDLER NOW!!! I can't believe how fast it's gone! And we just welcomed our baby girl into the world on March 14, 2014!!
I've lost almost 50 lbs since being diagnosed with PCOS (but lost it all in the first 6 months of 2011) so we think this really helped us get pregnant when I got to Korea. I'm living proof that PCOS doesn't have to ruin your life!
So, this blog is part Mommy, part coping with the military, and part my boring ramblings. Enjoy!
